The group under the auspices of Abdullah Network Communication has called on God to intervene in the feud between Tinubu and Buhari

Governor El-Rufai said the Buhari’s government is a product of prayers by Nigerians

He said Buhari and the APC cannot afford to fail Nigerians who brought them to power Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state has said President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) cannot afford to fail Nigerians.

Speaking at a national prayer for God’s intervention in the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government, the governor said Nigerians voted out the previous administration led by Goodluck Jonathan because of bad governance.

El-Rufai, who was represented by the director-general of Interfaith Bureau, Engr. Namadi Musa, said with the support of everyone, Buhari will not fail, The Nation reports.

“Therefore, it will be more painful if this government fails Nigerians”. “So, we are aware of the enormous tasks and responsibilities on our shoulders as a government. With your prayers and support, the President Muhammadu Buhari led government will not fail Nigerians,” he said.

According to a group under the auspices of Abdullah Network Communication, the national prayer which was kick-started in Kaduna state was aimed at seeking divine assistance for President Buhari-led government in its quest to develop Nigeria.

The event which held at Arewa House, Kaduna saw Muslims and Christians praying for the country in two respective sessions. The spiritual exercise is expected to be taken round the six get-political zones of the country, with the next one taking place in Ibadan, South-west Nigeria.

The leader of the group, Comrade Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje, who spoke after the prayer said they decided to embark on the spiritual exercise because everyone was saying the country needs prayer, but nobody seemed ready to take the lead.

“That is why we decided to take the lead and pray for our dear country and its leadership,” he said. Alawuje said a lot of people believe in Buhari’s commitment to take Nigeria to greater heights and that is why they voted for him.

However, he noted that they were yet to see the change they voted for. “We are very much aware that, it is not as if our President is not doing anything to fix this country, but the results of his efforts are not visible.

That is why we are praying against any form of sabotage that is denying Nigerians the dividends of President Muhammadu Buhari’s efforts to make life better for the people.

“We are also praying for the movement that brought President Muhammadu Buhari to power. Though unconfirmed, we are hearing that, there is feud between the President and the national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

We pray that God intervenes and make them settle their differences, because that alone can have negative impact on the APC and the nation at large,” he added.

There have been rumours that Tinubu is planning to break away from the APC and float a new party. This is because his position in the party has relegated to the background after he worked for the party’s victory in the 2015 elections.

A rally was organised in Lagos on Saturday, November 12 in support of Tinubu. Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele predicted recently that Tinubu and the APC will become enemies and some governors are likely to betray President Buhari within and outside the party.
