Mourinho charged with misconduct over referee comments

The ‘Special One’ made some comments prior to the game against Liverpool on October 17, a match which ended goalless.

It was fight to finish at Anfield as the epic clash which failed to live up to its pre-match razzmatazz saw fine saves from United’s De Gea as the Spaniard stopped Firmino and Mane’s effort to keep his side in the game.

Liverpool were better all through the entire 90minutes, but somehow could not manage to get all three points.

The Portuguese tactician faces a touchline ban for suggesting that the referee was under too much pressure ahead of that game. Taylor is from Wythenshawe in Greater Manchester and lives just six miles from Old Trafford.

In England, team managers are restricted fromtalking about match officials ahead of games and Mourinho is likely to face a ban, heavy fine or warning about future conduct.
